Well, I saw "A Christmas Carol" yesterday...and I didn't like it that much. Maybe it's because it was somber and had too many action sequences in it. But I'm guessing the original book (Which Mr. Zemeckis borrowed heavily from) was a somber plea to help the less fortunate. (Oh God, and that scene with Want turning into a prostitute and humping Scrooge...ick.)

I think I can say, watch it on DVD, and watch this one as well, which is the same, only not with drawn-out action sequences. It's by animator Richard Williams and produced by Chuck Jones, a TV special that was taken off the air as the ghosts frightened too many little children. But YouTube fortunately came through.

Why oh why do I have to wait?

I wasn't rejected...but still, being passed over for something that I had expressed a lot of interest in still hurts. It's just going to be a while...but I'm not giving up.

Watching "G.I. JOE" now...I wanna give Breaker a hug after he's been banned from France. (Well, he is French-Moroccan, and if I were banned from the US I'd be pretty upset, too.)

Oh, and Zach G. as Humpty Dumpty in "Puss 'n Boots"? Oh yes. Hell, my fandom of this guy is at an all-time high after seeing a guy dressed as Allen from "The Hangover" for Halloween online. XD The man is LEGEND, right up there with Tim Conway. :D

Hmm...what should I do for the next project? Do something I've collected out of G&LB? Or just take something I didn't finish yet?

So right now, I've decided all this anxiety about work must be in my head. And watching "Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew" season 2 is a good cure for the blues. (Although two of these episodes are what I posted here last month, involving Dracula and the Phantom.)

I also still haven't read that note. I know I have to at some point, but I just can't as of now. But really, it's not like being turned down by Universal or Paramount, even though I'd still be trying there. And I'm still going to be trying with them. (Okay, so that didn't come out right.) Seriously, I'm not going to be Sean Young wanting to be Catwoman crazy, but more like Madonna. Except I didn't lock myself in the bathroom, sobbing.

Oh, also they imposed a more stricter dress code on the women. Collars. I only have three shirts with collars. Aaargh.

Well, I received a reply from Craig...and I really don't want to read it now. Given how I've been feeling, I don't want to feel worse if it's a turn-down. But I'm not sure if I'll have to remind him how bad he felt that his campaign to be Riley in "Eclipse" didn't go so well so he can get how I'm feeling...well, if it's a bad thing. But I still think that the first time I stopped acting, it's because I was tired of being turned down. I never learned to be persistent. Well, I've learned that now, and I'm not quitting. And if I somehow get famous, I probably wouldn't be upset that they'd be kicking themselves for not letting me have a chance with them.

Why must parts of my creative outlets require other people's decisions?! Ugh...I really don't know what I could do solo at this rate. And yes, it comes back to work. I feel like it's just too prevalent in my life now, and I don't want it to be like that. If I wasn't going to be seeing a musical next week, I would be reaaaalllyyy upset as in not caring about dieting. Hell, I haven't been exercising like I need to.

I hate depression.

Okay, so today-

-I saw "Astro Boy" (Which thankfully didn't suffer from misplaced emotion like "The Barnyard"...though we knew that grief was a big part of the story. And Matt Lucas is hilarious in it as Sparks, the robot revolutionary who plans to tickle the humans for revenge. XD )

-Finally told one of the EIP guys I'm getting sick of them leaving me in the dark. Yes, I did. And I'm really getting ticked off about this. You have an actor right in front of you willing to travel the distance to be a part of these things...why the hell do you not see it?! I am not goign to stop until I get an answer.

Anyway, I picked up a promotional Disney magazine where I finally saw what lolita_minako was talking about it being two pieces. Man, this means I'll have to do more searching for a proper pattern.

Well right now, I'm hoping to not get sucked into a black hole of despair in the coming months. I am starting to really dislike some co-workers...yesterday, someone thought they'd give me 'advice' when I wasn't doing anything wrong. If she thinks I'm being mean when I'm not, it's her problem. I don't want anyone telling me how I'm doing unless they're a supervisor, NOT A CO-WORKER. At least some people aren't jerks, but I feel so stuck here. And not doing anything else...it's getting me upset.

Seriously, what do I have to do?

It's the preparation for next year that gets me.

Finally, Halloween is gone, I can resume my normal business and take a break from sewing for a while. Of course, I have next Halloween's project, which I should finish before the end of Sept. as I'm planning to wear it to WDW's Halloween event.

I've been looking at Alice's dress and I'm still trying to figure out what pattern would work. I have to do this, in case I get screwed over, like how there wasn't anything resembling Giselle's curtain dress from "Enchanted" after the movie was released. And I stumble upon a pattern that has something I detest-Dog Costumes. However, the princess view MAY work.

But there's some problems. The waistline may not look right. Though I will not make it as detailed as Colleen Atwood made it. (As in, it won't be sheer that you could see the slip under it.) The skirt's ruffle, however, might be a bit of a problem. I will have to figure out just how to make that design work as I'm not an embroiderer. But I can totally find some sort of ribbon lace for the neckline. :)

I was also thinking of getting this clock-looking handbag that went with another mass-market Alice costume (Which isn't demure as Atwood's is) or maybe hold out for one of those Baby the Stars Shine Bright purses. Hmm...that might be a better idea. :D As long as I'm not dropping a LOT of cash for someone to make it for me, I might indulge in that. :D

Oh, and I still have to wait for the damn flights for that time period to show up...will wait until midmonth to see.

I also found out just WHY Walmart got Christmas-themed "Madagascar" merchandise...there's a Christmas special on TV next month with the characters in it. :) Although after watching the series "The Penguins of Madagascar", I think I'm a little spoilt with seeing that on TV. :) (But it doesn't mean I can't wear cute jammies with the psychotic penguins on them. :) )

Problem-I find out my own computer is not letting me into windows. I panic again. So I have to use the other computer, which sadly doesn't have sound on it. (And apparently, the "Monsters Vs. Aliens" Halloween special isn't on Hulu as of yet.) And also very annoying is that Hulu isn't allowing an embed of "Bram Stoker's Dracula", so I have yet another sitcom ep. for this blog.

I seriously hate these girls who aren't even well into their 20s and think they know everything. I had to deal with a co-worker who turned out to be like that. I had been explaining to another co-worker about an irate customer who had to be stuck with coins, I had to tell him that I was unable to go myself to get change, and then the cashier next to me said "I shouldn't argue with the customers", which was rude. This other girl thinks it was the tone of my voice. I tell her that it wasn't her place since she wasn't there, but she didn't shut the hell up.

But you know, it's her fault she's being a bitch. And I'm not going to be around when her attitude gets her into trouble.

In better news, I entered yet another trip to Japan. I don't quite think I'll win, but I need to try. :)

I stumbled upon a site called "Horror Squad" that had "31 Fates Worse Than Death". My choice? "Freaks". Sure, this is a spoiler, but in the film, this woman is marrying one of them because he's rich and she plans to kill him soon after. But the freaks, who are humanized throughout the film, do something worse than murder her, they mutilate her. So you have to wonder what's worse-being murdered or being mutilated to the point that you pray for death.

Okay, that's a pretty grim thought to start out on...

It's the guy from "Highlander: The Series" in a frog suit. Mythos with a Kermit complex. XD And it's directed by the lady who made "Pet Semetary 2".

I can't believe it, but people actually like my second attempt at Evra. Even a girl who I thought did a better attempt at it! And it's been favorited by another gal who likes doing horror sfx makeup! So yeah, I'm pretty surprised.

Watching the documentary of "Little Britain Down Under"...kinda sad since Matt mentioned his civil partner Kevin, who had committed suicide recently. :( And Anthony Stewart Head in vinyl...aw yeah. :) And Lou and Andy popping up on "Neighbours". XD Although I wonder what those guys are up to now... (Well, aside from Matt in "Astro Boy" and "Alice in Wonderland"...)

Two more days of work to go...I think I may have found a top for the theater. :) $9 at my store. Yayz. I hope it works out...

Firstly, my Evra cosplay didn't turn out so great. If ANYONE can think of something to use that won't be liable to fall off, please tell me. That scar stuff is supposedly something that stays on, but in this case, NO.

But, I had a guy who does makeup who said I made a good attempt at it.

Okay, the story of "Cirque Du Freak" is way different than the books (As they're teenagers, for one thing), but it keeps all the key points. Sneaking into the show, Darren kidnapping Madame Octa, Steve getting attacked and Darren making the deal with Crepsley to get the antidote, and...well, I have to admit I didn't get to the third story yet. Because Yen Press isn't releasing it until next week. (Grrr...) But is Murlaugh a wack job? For one thing, he's stealing Vladislaus Dragiula's military uniform with ponytail look. And he carries a drill with him to sharpen his nails and teeth. And well, I don't know if he's campier than Count Schnitzel from "Mannequin Too", but he's more dignified than Judd Hirsch as Dracula in "The Halloween That Almost Wasn't". (Yeah, I went there.)

But much like "Fido", it was also a story about what real humanity is. Sure, you may be part vamp or part monkey, but it's what you do that defines humanity. Oh, and apparently they ARE setting up for "Vampire Mountain" at the end of the film. I HOPE that it will be a safe bet that it will be made...or else get Paul Weitz and Brian Hegland (Who also wrote and directed "A Knight's Tale") to take over the "Van Helsing" saga. Because they know what they're doing, apparently, as they know how to make an engaging monster-filled movie.

And what did I think of Evra? I want to cuddle him. Unlike the book, he'd rather be a musician than a snake charmer. The book, however, he was taken by an evil carny and shoved in a cage as a young one...this one has him taken in by Mr. Tall as his heartless parents threw him in a dumpster. And tries to figure out if "Dumpster Baby" would be a good song.

Hey, wasn't "Dumpster Baby" already the inspiration for a song?

No, Evra doesn't really trump Edgar, though I imagine if there was some crossover between "Heroes" and "Cirque du Freak", Edgar would be very, very annoyed by some dude snake boy that wanted to hang out with him.

Yes, I'm planning to add "Almost Famous" to Netflix, but due to moral reasons, I'm not watching "Saved"...but heck, I'll catch all of that "Bickford Schmecker's Big Ideas" movie he was in next time it's on TV....and would it kill someone to put that "MAD TV"/"Almost Famous" parody he was in on YouTube?! Dammit, that was probably one of the funniest ones out there and it's not up!!! But it's here with screenshots, and still makes me wish someone put this on YouTube already, dammit.
